You can upload JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP and SVG files. You can also convert between formats — for example, upload a PNG and download it as a WebP.
When re-encoding images via the Canvas API, metadata is typically stripped by the browser. This can actually help reduce file size further.
Modern browsers handle files up to several megabytes comfortably. For very large images (50MB+), performance may vary — processing smaller batches is recommended.
PNG is a lossless format, so the quality slider doesn't apply. For the best compression of PNG images, try converting them to WebP or JPEG format.
